Ashley & David’s Pelican Brewery Wedding | Lincoln City, Oregon

Congratulations to Ashley & Dave. Enjoy their sneak peek photos from their Pelican Brewery Wedding.

A Pelican Brewery Wedding on the shores of Siletz Bay is the kind of day that makes us appreciate why we do this work. We were honored to get to capture both photography and videography for this lovely couple and their closest friends and family. Favored with coastal June light that did exactly what we needed it to do. If you know the Oregon Coast, you know this kind of sunny day is never guaranteed in June, but Ashley and David got lucky, and so did we.

Getting Ready: Two Houses, One Perfect Start to the Day

Ashley and her girls got ready at a vacation rental nearby the Pelican Brewery in Lincoln City. Complete with sunflower bouquets, purple bridesmaid dresses, and a bride who hadn’t quite stepped into the enormity of the day yet. Those quiet in-between moments before a ceremony are some of our favorites to document, and Ashley and her ladies gave us plenty of them.

Over at the Looking Glass Inn, David and his crew were doing what grooms do — getting dressed, laughing, and working through the nerves in the way that guys tend to. We love covering both sides of the morning because it gives the full story of how the day began.

Ceremony on Siletz Bay

The day before this wedding, Lincoln City was completely socked in with fog. That is just the Oregon Coast in June, moody, overcast, and absolutely no guarantees. But the morning of Ashley and David’s wedding, it cleared. Full sun, blue sky, and Siletz Bay sparkling in a way that made the whole venue feel like a different place. We have photographed enough coastal weddings to know not to take that for granted.

The Pelican Brewery Siletz Bay venue is genuinely a beautiful ceremony location on the Oregon Coast in any weather, but on a day like this one it was something else entirely. An open deck above the bay, string lights overhead, water with driftwood at the edges in every direction. When the setting is this good, our job is to stay present and let the day unfold.

When Ashley came down the aisle, David’s reaction said everything that needed to be said. Their officiant, Nicholas, a longtime friend from David’s Navy service, brought something personal and meaningful to the ceremony that went well beyond the words on the page.

Portraits: Gardens and Bay Views

After the ceremony we had time to pull Ashley and David away for portraits in two different spots: a lush green garden tucked behind the vacation rental and the open waterfront grass along Siletz Bay. This is the part of the day we build the timeline around. Just the two of them, some good light, and a few minutes to breathe and be together after everything the ceremony brings.

The bridal party portraits in front of the garden were a real highlight. All that deep purple against the green, with sunflowers threaded through. It’s a color story that photographs beautifully.

Reception — Sunflowers, Dancing, and Snazzy Sweets

The Pelican Brewery reception space was decorated in the couple’s purple and yellow palette, with lavender table runners, sunflowers throughout, and delicious treats that the guests were clearly eager to get into. DJ Ryan with Social Sound kept the energy exactly where it needed to be, from the first dance through the end of the night.

We love documenting receptions because the real moments keep coming long after the ceremony ends. First dances, family on the floor, the couple finally getting to exhale and enjoy what they spent months planning.

A June Day Worth Every Frame

Ashley and David, thank you for trusting us with your wedding day. From the getting-ready moments to the last song on the bay, this was a celebration full of the right details and the right people.
