Getting Ready for the Day
The early part of the day was relaxed as both Hailey and Dominic spent time getting ready with their wedding party before the festivities began. Hailey wore a beautiful gown from Blue Sky Bridal while family and friends helped with the final preparations.
One thing we always appreciate about a calm start to the day is that it gives everyone a chance to settle in and enjoy the excitement before the timeline really gets moving.
A Private First Look
Before the ceremony, Hailey and Dominic chose to share a first look together. It’s always a nice opportunity for couples to spend a few quiet minutes together before the day flies by.
Afterward, we explored the grounds around Carver Event Center for portraits. The venue offers a variety of landscaped areas, mature trees, and gardens, making it easy to create a diverse collection of images without having to leave the property.
A Ceremony Made Even More Personal
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the ceremony itself. Hailey’s father officiated the wedding, making the exchange of vows even more personal for everyone in attendance.
Having a family member officiate is such a special way to customize a ceremony, and it created several heartfelt moments that reflected the close relationships surrounding the couple.
After the ceremony we snuck the couple away into the back gardens for even more romantic photos while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour.
A Reception Full of Personality
Guests enjoyed dinner catered by Nicolas Restaurant, followed by cake made by a family member—a wonderful personal touch that fit perfectly with the overall feel of the day.
Instead of traditional reception events, Hailey and Dominic planned something a little different. The Party Team hosted a live Family Feud game that quickly became one of the highlights of the evening. It had guests laughing, cheering each other on, and created a fun, relaxed atmosphere that everyone truly enjoyed.
Ending the Day with One More Personal Touch
Dominic owns a bright red 1990 Mazda Miata convertible, so of course we took advantage of the opportunity to incorporate it into a few portraits. Including something that’s meaningful to the couple always helps make their wedding gallery feel even more personal and unique to their story.
