A Beautiful Summer Navarra Gardens Wedding | Noland & Grace

Navarra Gardens Wedding days have a way of making the most of Oregon’s natural beauty, and Noland and Grace’s August celebration was a perfect example. From the lush gardens and towering trees to the soft blue, white, and green color palette, their wedding day felt relaxed, elegant, and completely at home in the Oregon landscape.

Located near Willamina in Oregon’s Coast Range, Navarra Gardens offers a beautiful mix of manicured gardens, towering trees, riverfront scenery, and indoor and outdoor spaces. It’s the kind of venue where you can find a new beautiful backdrop around nearly every corner — something I especially love as a wedding photographer.

Getting Ready for the Day

The morning began with those quieter wedding-day moments — details, final touches, and the anticipation that builds as everyone gets ready. Grace’s wedding details included her beautiful gown from Charlotte’s Weddings, along with gorgeous floral arrangements from Forte Floral Artistry.

There was a wonderful sense of excitement as Grace got ready with the people closest to her. Meanwhile, the guys were getting ready and preparing for the day ahead. I love this part of a wedding day because it gives us a chance to capture all of the little pieces that will eventually become part of the larger story.

Garden Portraits & Time With Family

Once everyone was ready, we took advantage of Navarra Gardens’ incredible grounds for the couple’s first look and portraits. The gardens provided an abundance of natural settings — flowering plants, mature trees, pathways, and beautifully maintained green spaces.

Noland and Grace’s portraits had that relaxed, natural feeling we always aim for. Rather than making the photographs feel overly posed, we gave them room to enjoy being together while we captured the genuine moments happening in between.

The wedding party joined us for portraits as well, with the bridesmaids in soft blue dresses and the guys in coordinated neutral suits. The colors looked right at home against the greenery and gardens.

A Meaningful Outdoor Ceremony

When it was time for the ceremony, everyone gathered outdoors at the banks of the picturesque river to watch Noland and Grace make their vows. Their officiant, Grace’s godfather, made the ceremony especially personal — a beautiful reminder that weddings are about more than two people getting married. They’re also about the family and friends who have been part of the story all along.

Social Sound provided the string quartet music for the ceremony, adding an elegant live soundtrack to the afternoon.

Celebrating With Dinner, Cake & Dancing

After the ceremony, the celebration continued with dinner catered by Simply Plated and a beautiful wedding cake from Blair’s Custom Cakes. The reception space brought everyone together for the next part of the evening — celebrating, visiting, dancing, and enjoying time with family and friends.

And then, of course, it was time to party!

Weston Walls kept the dance floor moving as the evening unfolded. From the packed dance floor to the quieter moments between friends and family, these are the photographs that help tell the complete story of a wedding day.

Golden Hour Along the River

As the evening began to wind down, we stole Noland and Grace away for a few quiet moments together along the beautiful riverfront at Navarra Gardens. With the sun settling into the trees and the last light filtering across the water, it was the perfect opportunity to step away from the celebration and simply enjoy being newly married.

These are some of my favorite moments to photograph on a wedding day. After hours of celebrating with family and friends, having a few minutes where it’s just the two of you can feel like a welcome pause. We wandered along the river, soaking in the last bit of golden light while capturing some of the most romantic portraits of the day.

The soft evening light, the surrounding trees, and the peaceful riverfront created a beautiful backdrop for images that feel both timeless and completely connected to the place. And honestly, there’s something pretty magical about ending a Navarra Gardens Wedding with a little time alone, the sun going down, and the two of you taking it all in.

A Wedding Day Worth Remembering

What I loved most about Noland and Grace’s Navarra Gardens Wedding was how naturally everything came together. The beautiful surroundings didn’t need to be overdone, and the day never felt like it was about creating a perfect production. It was about bringing together the people they love, getting married, and enjoying every minute of it.

That’s exactly what we want for our couples, too. Beautiful photographs are important, but so is being able to relax, be present, and actually experience your wedding day. Our job is to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera while capturing the genuine moments, relationships, and emotions you’ll want to remember for years to come.
